In a way you might think this picture is funny but in another way it took me to another thought and I will explain. I am sure that the spelling is off, the person who did it could have been by accident, but in a different kind of a way it spoke to me, not literally.In a way only God can talk to you when you are going thru a hard time, a trial where God wants to grow you.Where you think no one else can help.This is my testimony of how God spoke to me in a simple little misspelling.How God can take the simplest things and turn it to his will,his way of speaking to you.
We always end up in the wrong direction when we do our own thing.We end up in that spot where we don't know how how we got there and wonder where did I go wrong.Well ( is a deep subject) its when we turn our eyes from God and do our own thing.That past mistake in which we keep on trying to correct or that turnabout which we just made.Believe me I can attest to that.
. I was a former drug addict, alcoholic ran from place to place .The direction I was going in was short from death running with the wrong crowd. So many times God had pulled me out and kept me from going down and did not realize it.There was that one night we where so strung out it was me and my cuz, and we decide to cause some trouble well I tell trouble came we end up driving my car under flat bed trailer ,car totaled car still trying to still move forward.we both walked away with only scratches,If God was not there that night I don't know what to say or where we would be that night.Like the word says in Psalm 91:11 he gives his angels charge over you.It just amazing you would think that would change someones life but I didn't still doing the same thing, thinking God would have change me,but he as his plans for your life and his timing is always perfect.I have so many testimony's that t i could probably write a book like many of us could if we just think about how many times God has spared our life's .
At times God wants to get our attention in different ways.Like Moses ran into the desert for Forty years for killing someone and the God shows up in a burning bush.( Genesis 3:2 ) and its not always the same way.As with me in the sign oenway
Hey you your are going in the wrong direction.HE wants us to go in his direction one way towards him .Gods way.The road is narrow but I will guide you..Just as in the Lords prayer Thy kingdom come Thy will be done, catch that little phrase,I know I miss it too at times its hard when we don't see it all the time.Thy will be done,his will in our lives not ours,but to humble our selves in his ways,to let the burdens go,to give the load to him to carry it. As Jesus said in Matt. 11:28 thru 30 take my yoke for it is easy and my burden is light.But as usual I like running back to the cross and pick up the burden again to move oenway.Sometimes God lets us run into that brick wall again and again to get that stubbornness out of us,to humble us.At times it reminds me of when a dog runs free and all of a sudden we get choked by that chain that we are still attached too.
Ever been down that choppy,bumpy road , you know which one I'm talking about the one with all the pot holes and your bouncing all over the place.Thats oenway our way ,our direction ,our pride.God I can do this,you are taking to long.no I don't want to go that way.Then all of a sudden theres that sign,that bush,that mislead direction.Stop dwelling in that place you know where you're at I've been there,that pain ,that bill,that illness,that past hurt from a relationship from a mother,father,girlfriend,boyfriend.Those past disappointments If i could of ,would of ,should of.Well the tell you the truth we cant go jump into our little time machine and go to the past and change it.We let the enemy whisper in our ears well you could of did this or that Oenway! Our way!
We need to stop dwelling in the past,we can not change those things.We need to turn around and go one way His way,His direction.His way is much easier ,lighter,brighter .Theres God with arms wide open saying this way,one way towards me,one way towards the light.Just like in the story of the prodigal son when he came back His Father looked for him daily waiting for him.He's waiting for you to come him.
